Shenandoah Cronin Reyna may have been born in Lafayette, LA, but considers herself a Texan. After embracing her geek side and leaving Texas for college, life brought her back. Though she loved her years at Northwestern and living in Chicago, Dallas is where she met John. She has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Economics and many Technology certifications. Shen received a perfect score on her WSET Level 2 award in wines in 2020 and is a member of the Dallas Sommelier Society. She enjoys spoiling John (and their fur babies!) with adventures through food, drink, travel, art and music. Shen can be reached directly at Shen@teakwoodtavern.com.

John B. Reyna spent his teens and twenties doing whatever he could to avoid studying. Now John can't get enough learning. But after he earned his Masters in Taxation from SMU Dedman School of Law, Shen informed him that he couldn't get any more degrees (i.e., no more student loans). Thus, he returned to an earlier passion dating back to his years in hospitality--studying wine and spirits. Back in 2010, he passed the Introductory Course for the Court of Sommeliers. In 2019, John earned the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines with a grade of Passing with Distinction and is a member of the Dallas Sommelier Society.
John is a professor of Hospitality Management at UNT Dallas School of Business. He teaches both Restaurant Management and Beverage Management classes.
When he's not reading about the law or booze, John enjoys being spoiled by Shenandoah, spending time with their fur babies, and seeking out good food and drink! John can be reached directly at John@teakwoodtavern.com.
